Mr. Antonio Arroyo

Recognized as the 2013-2014 Junior Magic Coach of the Year for the NBA Orlando Magic on March 25th. »

Antonio Arroyo has been coaching sports for over 30 years and continues to have the same passion he had when he first started coaching youth sports.  He is always on time and very dependable.  He takes pride in teaching the game correctly and takes his coaching serious but keeps it fun for the kids.  Not only does he have a winning record but all his kids play equal time and feel they play a major role on the team.  As we know a lot of kids miss practice at times but for Coach Arroyo he has built such great relationships with not only the kids but the parents that his players seldom miss practice.  He is a stern coach but believes in youth development through sports and the kids truly respect him and have a blast at practice and at the games.  As the League Director, I get calls from parents; before, during and after the league that they would like their child to play on Coach Arroyo's team.  When I ask why, they all say the same thing; because he's strict, teaches the game correctly, he seems like he cares, kids respect him, he looks like he enjoys coaching and most of all the kids on his teams have fun!

Thanks to Mr. Arroyo for his passion and commitment to positive youth development through sports.  We are blessed to have him as a volunteer and an awesome role model!
